About Us
The Australia Day Foundation UK Trust established in 2013 is administered by The Australia
Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to enhancing and promoting bilateral
relations between Australia and the United Kingdom.
Our core objective is to recognise exceptional talent in all forms through acknowledging the significant achievements of Australians and Honorary Australians in the UK at our annual Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
Through the funds raised at the Gala, we also invest in the next generation of exceptional achievers. In conjunction with the Britain–Australia Society Education Trust, we support Australians studying in the UK through the Endeavour Career Skills Awards, helping them build the foundations for future success.
Baset
BASET (The Britain Australia Society Education Trust) unlocks the potential of talented young Australians by giving them access to opportunities in the UK that financial circumstances might otherwise place beyond their reach.
Through the Endeavour Career Skills Awards, BASET enables young Australians to undertake specialist training and professional placements in the UK. These experiences do far more than develop technical skills – they build confidence, broaden horizons and inspire award recipients to realise what they are truly capable of.
Working alongside leading employers, educators and industry experts, participants gain practical experience, international perspectives and professional networks that stay with them long after they return home. Many go on to become leaders and ambassadors within their professions, taking new knowledge and skills back to Australia.
For many recipients, an Endeavour Award is a defining moment. It opens doors that might otherwise have remained closed, transforms aspirations into achievable goals and gives talented young people the confidence to shape their own futures.
